Loaded with features unique to Western Trailers, our hoppered
flat trailers are the ultimate hauler. The built-in hoppers
on this tough flatbed allow you to carry a wider range of
products on the same trailer.
Using it as a flatbed, you'll find have the same payload
and lightweight you've come to expect from Western Trailers.
Then, fold the sides up and remove the floor sections and
you've got a hopper trailer ready for bulk loads.
Folding
sides
Folding sides have a tough life on any flatbed, but our
design allows an extra margin of protection under all
types of usage. We use MDO plywood that holds up well
through years of service. The recessed floor lets sides
fold down flush with the outer rim and protects them from
forklift damage. This design also seals out water when
the sides are up.
Aluminum
stakes and tarp trusses
Stakes and tarp trusses are built out of heat treated
aluminum. They hold sides evenly spaced and in place,
reducing tarp wear and eliminating the need for cross
chains. Stakes and tarp bows store in headboard.

full emptying hopper bins
Hoppers are constructed of high-tensile steel with lightweight
aluminum doors and a big 24" x 32" opening. End slopes
are 45° for easy unloading. The gear-type door operator
is extended to the outer rail so you won't have to climb
under the trailer to open our hopper doors.

Moveable
bulkheads
Moveable bulkheads allow positioning of loads over hopper
bins. Removable aluminum floor sections may also be used
for bulkheading over bins.
Accessory
tubes
We use an octagonal design for extra strength. Our standard
tube is 24" in diameter with heat treated aluminum construction
and locking door. Holds stakes, tarps, belts and other
accessories.
Floor
traps
We install to suit your needs. Our traps are approximately
9" x 9", recessed 1.25" and welded into the floor. We
think of them as "forklift proof."
